Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG)
Also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to create the arc and an inert shielding gas to protect the weld and molten pool against atmospheric contamination. Microplasma welding (0.1 - 15A)
Microplasma is used for welding thin sheets (down to 0.1mm thickness), and wire and mesh sections. The needle-like, stiff arc minimises arc wander and distortion.Medium current welding (15 - 200A)
When used in the melt mode, this is an alternative to conventional TIG.
